RE: New Wachtelhund Owner
Robin,
Thanks for the post.........keep us informed for sure.
Quaid is my first as well and he has quicly stolen the show around our camp.
The ladies around the place can't stay away from him while he is kenneled, they even come to tell him good bye when they are leaving to go home, everyone loves him and he gives back vocally letting them all know how much he appreciates the attention.

They guys have gone from "he's a what???" to " What kinda of dog is that"...........I belive the lab lovers are genuinely impressed.

get those pics up!!

Hi Robin ,
Welcome to the Dwna. We live in Northwestern Ontario and currently have three wachtelhunds. There are four more within a 30 km radius of us. Now you should see us when we all get together! No other breed can out- hunt ours and people are amazed at how early and easily they take to hunting but, remember you need to work with your dog even in the off-season. Again the NW ont. wachtelhund owners welcome you

Thanks Sandy!! These dogs are amazing, I get even more impressed with my guy every hunt.
I knew there were a few Wachtelhunds in Ontario and Quebec, so it`s nice to hear from you, not sure if there are anymore East of Quebec or not.
Post pics whenever you can, always love looking at other Wachtel`s in action.
