Sam,

Welcome to the fourm. Are you a wachtel owner or potential owner to be?

Either way, glad to have you around.

Welcome back to the forum Sam. I believe you were signed up once before, but this is your first introduction. I'm sure you are anxious to get your pup from Bill. I'm gald your finally getting one. I recall us taking about it over the last several years. My Kelly is going to deliver her litter anytime now. She started panting last night and the pups were kicking. By the whelping chart she should deliver between Friday and Monday. Friday would be 63 days from the first breeding, but I have never had a Wachtelhund go the full 63 days. More like 61 or 62. Expecting a large litter this time, eight to ten pups.

Anyways, welcome to the forum.

RE: Sam here from Virginia Beach Virginia
Thanks for the warm welcome form everybody. I am a potential Wachtel owner. I have been following this movement I have come to know as DWNA since about 2005 when I read an article on the Wachtelhund and was hooked. I currently have a deposit for a pup. I am an avid hunter and get out to hunt as much as my schedule allows. I am in the U.S. Navy so its not always easy to get out all the time. I am extremely excited and anxious to be blessed with such a wonderful dog.

Glad to hear about the pups Dave. From what i have read, big litters are a sign of good geanes. Hope to see the pics and wish you and the dog all the best during delivery. I remember when i first thought i was going to get a wachtel it was going to be an offspring of duke.
